Can I obscure sensitive data captured in Chat Flow?

You can enable the “Sensitive” toggle on a Request input node when asking the end-user for sensitive information (e.g., a password) that you do not want to be visible in the chat.

If the “Sensitive” toggle is turned ON, the end-user is presented with a link when they arrive at this step in the workflow that takes them to a secured, external website hosted by Clickatell where they can enter the sensitive data. Once submitted, the end-user is returned to the channel to continue with the workflow.

The information provided by the end-user in this step is masked in the Chat Flow logs and not visible within the channel (even to the end-user), and if the end-user is transferred to Chat Desk, the information the end-user entered is masked with asterisks.

Note that the “Sensitive” toggle is turned OFF by default.
